'Wichcraft

'Wichcraft in San Francisco, Union Square. Didn't get a chance to try lunch but we woke up early just to grab breakfast here. Did it live up to the hype???...yes it did, the Ham, Avo & butter sandwich on a baguette was pefectly executed and the Onion Fritatta was quite tasty. Potato & White Cheddar Cheese soup was silky smooth, flavorful and not too heavy and with the a hint of Parsley Oil....yum.

Of course for dessert they have ice cream 'wiches, which are made from their homemade ice cream and homemade cookies. Cinnamon ice cream with graham cracker cookie and a chocolate coookie with vanilla ice cream....the graham with cinnamon with cinnamon ice cream might have been a bit much but was satisfying but the chocolate cookie tasted strangely familiar too an Oreo cookie..... Overall one of the best "hip" sandwich places I've been and a very reasonable price point.

Sohoju "Upscale/Trendy Korean"

Playing off the NYC neighborhood name SoHo & combining it with the ever popular Korean potato & grain based "liquor" Soju....Soju had recently gained popularity because of it's versatility being a low percentage alcohol & techinically classified as a wine, hence the ability to serve with only a Beer & Wine license. It is also easily subsituted for Vodka or other clear based liquors in most mixed drinks.

The basis to an upscale Bim Bim Bop. Spinach, Bean Spourts, Carrots, Mushrooms, Radish & Cucumbers. This was extremely fresh but not as tasty as many other more traditional Korean places.

BBQ chicken with Kochuchan dipping sauce with fresh veggie sides & an interesting "healthy" twist of green tea rice.

The entire "set" meal that they offer during lunch at Sohoju. Sohoju is located in LA J-Town just off of 1st street....not the cheapest Korean food but worth a try.

Tribute to the Frozen Yogurt Craze

This is my little tribute to the ever growing Frozen Yogurt Craze....much like the Boba Craze....the question is how long will it last?

Fiore is one of many franchise companies trying to turn the trend into cash. Red Mango & Pinkberry being the others. Red Mango is the Korean Company who orginated the healthy Frozen Yogurt movement in Korea, which Pinkberry took and ran with here in the States. Fiore is the "Italian" version of their Korean counterparts.
